George didn''t have a bad week.
In almost any other matchup, 156.2 points would have produced one of the strongest wins on the schedule. Ten of the eleven other teams in this league would have lost to that number. Most of them would have lost badly.
Instead, he drew Tuscan.
Tuscan exploded for 162.7, the week''s highest score, turning one of George''s best performances into one of the most brutal losses of the season. Trae McBride alone went for 41.8, which is more than Sam''s entire flex-and-tight-end operation managed all afternoon.
The two combined for 318.9 points, one of the highest-scoring games in recent league history and the closest anyone has come to the 341.2 that Nate and Danielle put up in Week 9 of 2023.
George is now 0-2 with 305.3 points, the most in the league. Nobody else has even cracked 302. He has lost to the two highest scores of the young season and has nothing to show for it except a very specific kind of anger.
He has officially discovered the worst part of fantasy football: sometimes you can do almost everything right and still get punched in the mouth.
